Will
I have a tutor to help me with my studies?:
Most
definitely! When you enrol you are assigned your own personal
tutor who sets your assignments, grades them, and helps you
with encouragement and advice throughout your course.
Go to Questions
Do
I have a time limit to finish my course?:
Yes,
you do. This is because the price of tutoring and other overheads
increase over the years, and we have to make some provision
to absorb costs. The other reason is that it is important
that a student sets some tangible personal goal concerning
what timeframe is needed to complete studies. Maximum times
are normally double the expected time to finish a course.
Go to Questions
What
happens if I run over my time limit?
We
are flexible about this, and normally charge only an administration
fee to extend study time limits. However, you need to apply
for an extension.
Go to Questions
What
is the best way to study?:
Because
Distance Education is done in one's spare time, developing
a personal study timetable and setting study goals is essential.
Our booklet "How to get the best out of your course" is sent
to you on enrolling, and this details the self-discipline
habits that you should develop to complete your course successfully.
Go to Questions
How
do I submit my assignments?:
Your
assignments can be submitted by mail, fax, or e-mail, and
will be returned the same way. Students without access to
computers will be sent supplementary material by mail, and
those with access to the World Wide Web will be able to download
any required supplementary material from a special restricted
student's section on our website. Because of this, you will
need certain software (see below).
Go to Questions
What
hardware and software do need to study over
the Internet?
Do
I have to have access to the Internet?
No.
Our traditional way of doing business has always been through
the mail, so you are welcome to use this method of communicating
with us. However, using the internet has advantages, particularly
speed of turnaround, and access to research. For the Business
course, we strongly recommend that you try and gain access
to a computer, as it will make studying easier, quicker, and
more fun
Go to Questions
Are
your courses approved by the South African Qualifications
Authority (SAQA)?:
In
common with most of the Further Education and Training (FET)
Distance Education institutions in South Africa, we have our application into Umalusi for provisional accreditation and expect it to be granted shortly

Can
I pay directly through your website with
a Credit Card, and is it secure?

via a totally secure bank owned site which is accessed from
our website. You may download enrolment forms via our enquiry
